You may refer to the User Guide for d-Cert (Server) Applicant procedures on how to generate a base64 encoded PKCS#10 CSR. Please make sure that the correct domain name (e.g. www.example.com) is entered in the “Common Name” field and “HK” in the “Country” field.
A Certificate Signing Request (CSR) is a file you generate by your server when applying for a digital certificate. It contains your public key and identifying information, and is digitally signed with your matching private key to prove key possession. You send the CSR to HKCA, which validates your details and, upon successful verification, issues your digital certificate.
d-Cert (Server) using Chinese domain name, subscriber should convert the Chinese domain name into ASCII characters by using IDN conversion tool.
You should paste the entire content of the CSR including the lines “—–BEGIN NEW CERTIFICATE REQUEST—–” and “—–END NEW CERTIFICATE REQUEST—–” into the Certificate Signing Request (CSR) text box.
