The Hong Kong Certification Authority (HKCA) has published Certification Practice Statements for its recognised digital certificates. These documents provide reference information for users to help them evaluate the reliability of d-Certs and the digital signatures generated by d‑Cert subscribers.

The following types of certificates may be issued to Bureaux and Departments of the Government of Hong Kong SAR, organisations that hold a valid business registration certificate issued by the Government of the Hong Kong SAR and statutory bodies of Hong Kong whose existence is recognized by the laws of Hong Kong. Offer of the following certificates requires prior arrangement between HKCA and the subscriber organisation.
